About Riley Johns
Riley Johns, based in Canmore, AB, is a golf designer with a lot of vision for what a course can become, and experience at high-profile new designs and extensive time spent restoring classics. But his passion for the game that sets Johns, who is the consulting architect for Point Grey, apart.
“I have played, maintained golf courses, and grown-in golf courses, worked in shaping courses and designed them,” Johns explains. “My passion is taking all my experiences in golf course creation and trying to build a product that people will enjoy time and time again. I love the creative process of golf course architecture and want to elevate Canadian golf course design for everyone to enjoy and rediscover.”
Johns, who has worked with Tom Doak and the design team of Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, is a noted construction shaper, having worked on projects throughout the world, including Cabot Cliffs in Nova Scotia.

“The opportunity to create a facility against which all others in Canada will measure themselves is what we’re striving to accomplish.”
