A practice facility that has few peers in Canada—that’s what Point Grey is creating starting in the middle of 2018.
Under the guidance of Riley Johns, one of Canada’s best young golf architects, Point Grey will its practice grounds best in class.
The multi-million dollar investment will see an entirely new practice range, as well as adjustments to two existing golf holes. The new practice area will feature 25 stalls, and allow members access to natural grass on a regular basis. At nearly 300 yards in length and 75 yards wide, it will be a facility where golfers of all levels will be able to make strides in their games.
The project will open to members in the middle of 2019. “The opportunity to create a facility against which all others in Canada will measure themselves is what we’re striving to accomplish,” says Head Professional Dave Zibrik. Unparalleled—that’s how Zibrik describes the new practice facility.
It will be the first of its kind in Canada to feature Trackman Range, a state-of- the-art system that allows players to track all elements of their game. The facility will also have two fully outfitted teaching and coaching studios.
“No private club in Vancouver will have anything that rivals it,” Zibrik says.
“The opportunity to create a facility against which all others in Canada will measure themselves is what we’re striving to accomplish.”
